Royce White, a former NBA player, is now making the transition from the sport of professional basketball to that of professional MMA.

The former basketball player has recently released a book titled “MMAxNBA: A Critique Of Modern Sport In America” and is taking his love for MMA to the next level.

Amazon, where the book is sold, gives the following description of the product, which has just one review at this time and it wasn't a flattering one:

“MMA x NBA is an account of Royce White's transition from the sport of basketball to the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. The core of the work, however, is a treatise on sport, detailing its competitive fundamentals, institutional structures, its relation to society, and its future possibilities.”

White already has some high aspirations for his professional MMA career and the pinnacle of that is the UFC Heavyweight Title.

“I’m coming for the UFC heavyweight crown,” White told The Last Renaissance.

There is no word yet on when White plans on making his professional or amateur MMA debut, but the former basketball player is training out of the Minnesota Martial Arts Academy, which has been the home for former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar and former UFC Lightweight Champion Sean Sherk, among other competitors.
