Four more fights have been added to the upcoming UFC 208 card as #10 Dustin Poirier battles Jim Miller, Luis Henrique faces Marcin Tybura, Nik Lentz takes on Islam Makhachev and #5 Wilson Reis faces Ulka Sasaki.
Poirier (20-5-0) has won four of his last five under the UFC banner, defeating Carlos Ferreira, Yancy Medeiros, Joe Duffy and Bobby Green, while suffering a lone defeat to Michael Johnson. Poirier hasn’t had one of his fights go to a decision in over three years, that fight was a unanimous decision win over Erik Koch at UFC 164.
Miller (28-8-0) will enter the fight on a three fight winning streak, defeating Takanori Gomi, Joe Lauzon and Thiago Alves. Three of Millers last four fights have been on UFC pay-per-view cards, he has gone 2-1-0 in those pay-per-view fights.
Henrique (12-0-0) has already earned two victories under the UFC banner, defeating both Jonathan Wilson and Joachim Christensen. Henrique has been a professional MMA fighter for over three years and none of his fights have gone to the judge’s scorecards.
Tybura (14-2-0) has won just one of two fights under the UFC banner, defeating Viktor Pesta and suffering a defeat to Timothy Johnson. Tybura is a former M-1 Challenge Heavyweight Champion, he defeated fellow UFC veteran Damian Grabowski to win the belt in 2014.
Lentz (25-7-2) has been undefeated since moving back to the lightweight division, defeating both Danny Castillo and Michael McBride. Lentz also spent some time as a featherweight in the UFC, winning four of six fights in that division.
Makhachev (13-1-0) has won two of three fights under the UFC banner, defeating Leo Kuntz and Chris Wade, while suffering a defeat to Adriano Martins. Makhachev only competed one time in 2016, which is the least active he has been as a fighter in three years.
Reis (21-6-0) has won four of his last five under the UFC banner, defeating Joby Sanchez, Scott Jorgensen, Dustin Ortiz and Hector Sandoval, while a lone loss came to Jussier Formiga. Reis is also a former Elite XC Flyweight Champion and a former Locked In The Cage Flyweight Champion.
Sasaki (19-3-2) has won two of four under the UFC banner, defeating Roland Delorme and Willie Gates, while suffering losses to Leabdro Issa and Taylor Lapilus. Sasaki entered the UFC riding a ten fight winning streak, a winning streak that lasted over two years time.
UFC 208 takes place on Saturday, February 11 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York with no main event announced as of yet.
