Former Bellator MMA Heavyweight Champion Alexander Volkov is someone who Ngannou has been calling out for some time now, but the two recently had a back and forth on Twitter.
It all started between the two when Ngannou called out Volkov for a bout at UFC 246:

Volkov would respond by challenging Ngannou to a bout in his home country a little later in the year:
@francis_ngannou How about Paris in March? Or you are too afraid to fall in front of your audience?

Ngannou would end the brief exchange by telling Volkov that they can have the fight anywhere, anytime:

The heavyweights nearly met at UFC Fight Night Moscow earlier this year, as Ngannou was allegedly offered the short notice bout against Volkov after the withdrawal of the aforementioned Dos Santos, but Greg Hardy wound up taking the opportunity instead.
