Frey vs. Grusander II Headlines Invicta FC 33


The main event has been announced for Invicta Fighting Championships 33 and it is going to be an atomweight title match as champion Jinh Yu Frey defends the gold in a rematch against Minna Grusander.

Frey (7-3-0) is making the first defense of her championship, as it was won via unanimous decision against Miina Grusander in their first bout at Invicta FC 30. Frey has competed a grand total of seven times under the Invicta FC banner, holding a record of 5-2-0 in the organization. Frey has competed ten times as a professional MMA fighter, but this bout will serve as the first rematch of her career.

Grusander (6-2-0) has won just one of two fights in Invicta FC, with that lone victory coming over Fernanda Priscila Barros Pinheiro at Invicta FC 28. Grusander has suffered two defeats as a professional MMA fighter and both of those losses have come by way of decision. Grusander also won the IMMAF World Championships as an amateur in 2015, defeating Maria Vittoria Colonna in the finals.

Invicta Fighting Championships 33 takes place on Saturday, December 15 from the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Missouri with Jinh Yu Frey and Minna Grusander headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
