Gabriel Flores Jr. vs. Salvador Briceno Set As Co-Main Event For June 8 Top Rank Card

Undefeated teenage prospect Gabriel Flores Jr. is getting another fight on ESPN.

Top Rank Boxing announced that Flores will take on Salvador Briceno on June 8 in Reno, Nevada. The fight will serve as the co-main event to the WBO featherweight title bout between Oscar Valdez and Jason Sanchez.

Flores is a 19-year-old fighter who has already won all 13 of his pro bouts. In front of more than 10,000 people in attendance in his hometown of Stockton, California, Flores knocked out Eduardo Pereira dos Reis in the third round in his last fight on May 4. That fight was also televised on ESPN.

Briceno sports a 15-3 record who once held the WBC FECOMBOX super featherweight title. Briceno has won his last two fights after getting knocked out by Antonio Moran in 2017 with the WBO Latino lightweight title on the line. In his last five fights, Briceno has a 3-2 record with all three wins coming from inside the distance.

Also announced by Top Rank is the undercard that will be streamed on ESPN+ and lead in to the ESPN-televised portion of the card. In the main event of the undercard, Andy Vences will defend his WBC Continental Americas super featherweight title against fellow unbeaten Albert Bell. 

As for the rest of the ESPN+ undercard, here are the fights announced:

- Robson Conceicao vs. Carlos Ruiz: super featherweight bout

- Diego Elizondo vs. Sergio Vega: lightweight bout

- Michael Seals vs. Christopher Brooker: light heavyweight bout

- J.J. Mariano vs. William Flenoy: welterweight bout

- Dmitry Yun vs. TBA: lightweight bout
