Gardai Seeking To Speak With Conor McGregor In Connection To Alleged Perjury

TRIGGER WARNING – RAPE
Conor McGregor is being sought for questioning.
According to the Irish Mirror, the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (NBCI) has been seeking for some time to try and speak with Conor McGregor in regards to alleged purgery after a phone was seized from an associate.
In November 2024, McGregor was found civilly liable of sexual assault in a civil case brought forward by Nikita Hand.
Sources say Gardai are looking to speak to McGregor as they further investigate claims that false statements were made during the course of his appeal of a civil finding that he raped Ms. Hand.
Samantha O’Reilly is charged with two counts of giving a statement that she knew to be false on January 14 and on May 6 last year.
Steven Cummins is charged with one count of giving a false statement that he knew to be false on January 14 last year.
McGregor has been in the United States training for his UFC 329 fight against Max Holloway, and has remained in California to rehab following an injury suffered in the fight.
McGregor’s solicitor Ciaran Mulholland told the Irish Mirror, “Mr McGregor has been out of the jurisdiction since his UFC Las Vegas fight and remains out of the jurisdiction under medical care and advice in California. This office made direct contact with Gardaí last September when this matter was first reported in the media confirming Mr McGregor’s willingness to assist Gardaí with their enquiries as a witness. Mr McGregor is willing to assist Gardai and has offered to do this remotely from the US or upon his return to the jurisdiction when he’s medically fit to travel.”
Fightful will continue to provide details as they are known.
