Gervonta Davis' homecoming fight is set after he and Ricardo Nunez successfully made weight for their WBA super featherweight title bout.
The two are set to headline the July 27 Showtime Championship Boxing card from the Royal Farms Arena in Davis' hometown of Baltimore. Davis came in at 129.5 pounds while Nunez was way under the 130-pound limit and weighed in at 128.3 pounds. This will be Davis' second title defense since winning the belt back in April 2018 when he defeated Jesus Cuellar in Brooklyn.
Fightful not only will have live coverage of the card, but also spoke to both Davis and Nunez on a variety of topics from Davis looking to give his hometown fans a show and Nunez preparing to fight in the United States for the first time in his pro career.
