Gokhan Saki recently made his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night Japan, defeating Henrique Da Silva by first round knockout.

Even though there are less than three months left in the year, the light heavyweight wants to fight again before 2017 comes to a close.

“I’m training hard for a fight,” Saki said on The MMA Hour. “We’re talking about a new date and I really can’t wait to fight in the US. I tried a fight here one time before and I really liked the US. I’m planning also to move to the US. I’m hoping to fight this year, one more time.”

Saki had only competed once before as an MMA fighter prior to his UFC debut, but he is one of the most decorated kickboxers in the world.

In an attempt to further his MMA career and training, the UFC fighter plans on moving to Miami to train with Selman Berisha.

“I think I’m going to go to Miami because I’m training today with Selman Berisha, he is the trainer of Ilir Latifi. He lives in Sweden and in Miami, so we have good contacts over there. If we can go to Miami to train we are going to do that. Everything is open still,” Saki said.

If Saki does want to fight again by the end of the year, then he has a total of twelve UFC events to try and compete on.
