Greg Hardy’s 4th Pro MMA Bout Set For Island Fights 51

Former NFL player turned professional MMA fighter Greg Hardy will return to action this December at Island Fights 51, facing Miles Dakota Merritt in a heavyweight division attraction.

Hardy (3-0-0) has competed twice on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, defeating Tebaris Gordon on Episode 16 and Austen Lane on Episode 9. Hardy was last seen in action at Xtreme Fight Night 352, defeating Ray Jones by first round knockout. Hardy also went undefeated during his run as an amateur MMA fighter, with all those fights ending within the opening round.

Merritt (3-2-0) has rotated wins and losses throughout his professional MMA career, with the last bout being a first round knockout win over Seante Williams at Island Fights 39. Merritt has spent his entire professional MMA career in the Island Fights promotion, making his promotional debut at Island Fights 30 in September of 2014. Merritt is also returning to action for the first time in over two years, with his last bout taking place in November of 2016.

Island Fights 51 takes place on Friday, December 21 from the Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, Florida with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
