GSP Can't Believe Nick Diaz Survived The IV Poisoning, Or The Superpowers Aliens Gave Him

MMA

Former two division champion Georges St. Pierre retained the UFC Welterweight Title with a unanimous decision win over Nick Diaz at UFC 158.

Diaz believes that his IV was “poisoned” prior to the fight, but GSP not only (jokingly) admits to the deed, but cannot believe that Diaz survived the whole ordeal.

“I gotta confess. I was so scared, so, we tried to poison...I was so scared of fighting Nick Diaz, we poisoned his IV. But he survived! So I was even more terrified! So, all the athletic commission was on my payroll, they tricked the weigh-in and I made it. And it went through. So I was even more terrified,” GSP said on The Joe Rogan Experience.

While GSP is clearing joking about the claims made by Diaz, it would appear that the Stockton native is serious about the accusations, but is unable to prove them at this time.

Besides “poisoning” Diaz before their title bout a few years back, another advantage GSP tried to give himself was to use gamma rays for added strength.

“So...the aliens abducted me, and they put the gamma rays (in me) to increase my strength like The Hulk. Like a performance enhancing drug. And the fight was still happening! So right before, I put some glass and cement in my gloves, just to make sure. And still I had a crazy hard fight,” says GSP.

GSP has also recently been linked to a potential bout with Nick’s younger brother Nate, but the Canadian star turned it down because there was nothing for him to gain in that encounter.
