UFC Fight Night 99 got a brand new main event this past week in Gegard Mousasi and Uriah Hall, as the main event change came after Gunnar Nelson got injured and was pulled from a fight against Dong Hyun Kim.
Nelson broke his silence about the injury that caused him to miss the second UFC main event opportunity of his career on social media, He recently posted the following on his Instagram page:
Nelson also took his claims to his Facebook page, where he posted a video of when he believes the injury occurred, Nelson claims the injury happened at the 1:08 mark in the video.
Nelson has yet to give a precise timetable for his return from injury, but he is not expected to compete until sometime in 2017.
