Heavyweight Contest Added To UFC Fight Night: Sao Paulo

A heavyweight division contest has been added to this October’s UFC Fight Night: Sao Paulo event as Christian Colombo is in action against Carlos Felipe.

Colombo (8-2-1) is currently winless under the UFC banner, dropping a fight to Luis Henrique and fighting Jarjis Danho to a majority draw. Colombo is a longtime veteran of the European MMA promotion, where he competed against fellow UFC fighter Viktor Pesta. Colombo also competed twice as an amateur MMA fighter, which includes a loss to fellow UFC fighter Ilir Latifi in 2008.

Felipe (8-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and he has only seen two of his professional MMA fights get past the opening round. Felipe did competed once under the Shooto Brazil banner, defeating Wagner Maia by unanimous decision in December 2016. Felipe has seen two of his fights go the distance, while all of his remaining wins came by way of first round KO/TKO.

UFC Fight Night: Sao Paulo takes place on Saturday, October 28 from the Ibirapueroa Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
