Henry Cejudo has stepped into the cage before with UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson, suffering a first round TKO loss at UFC 197.
When it comes to a potential super fight between Johnson and UFC Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw, a confident Cejudo says the flyweight kingpin would reign supreme.
“I have Demetrious by a landslide, to be honest with you,” Cejudo said on The MMA Hour. “I think Demetrious’ speed, he’s intelligent, nothing to take away from T.J. I’ve said it before, I think it’s just a weight issue. I think it’s T.J. getting down those extra 10 pounds and how he recovers the next day. I think that’s the biggest factor in that fight.”
While Cejudo and Johnson have clashed in the Octagon before, a bout with Dillashaw has never materialized for the flyweight contender.
Cejudo has heard a lot of people speak out against the potential super fight, but he feels different about the clash of the champions.
“As a competitor, as someone in the weight class, I think it’s good,” Cejudo said. “I think its cool that they do fight, but I feel like I already know the outcome.”
There is no date set yet for the potential super fight, but Johnson did reveal that negotiations have begun for the bout.
