Souza (10-1-0) is a former Invicta FC Strawweight Champion, defeating Katja Kankaanpaa for the gold at Invicta FC 12. Souza has only suffered a single defeat as a pro, which came to UFC veteran Angela Hill at Invicta FC 17. Souza has fought in Invicta FC for just over two years now and this is going to be the second time she hasn’t fought in a title fight during her time in the promotion.

Morandin (9-0-0) is going to be making her Invicta FC debut in this fight and she does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over four years now. Morandin is also a longtime veteran of the Aspera FC promotion, winning all six of her fights there. Morandin is also returning to action for the first time in almost a year, as her last bout came in September of 2016.

Invicta Fighting Championships 25 takes place on Thursday, August 31 from the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino in Lemoore, California with Yana Kunitskaya and Raquel Pa’aluhi headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
