The vacant One Championships Interim Flyweight Title will finally get an owner at One Championships 68 as Kairat Akhmetov faces Geje Eustaquio.

Akhmetov (21-1-0) defeated Eustaquio in their first encounter late last year at One Championships: Total Victory and that win came by way of split decision. Akhmetov is a former One Championships Flyweight Champion, defeating Adriano Moraes at One Championships 34 to win the gold. Akhmetov won the Zhekpe Zhek Cup in 2011 as an amateur MMA fighter, defeating Nurlan Kamagulov by first round submission in the finals of the one night tournament.

Eustaquio (9-6-0) hasn’t competed since the first bout with Akhmetov in late 2017, but he has a record of 6-5-0 in One Championships. Eustaquio has seen his last two fights go the distance and it has been well over a year since the competitor saw a bout end with a finish. Eustaquio is also a veteran of the Pacific Xtreme Combat promotion, where he holds a win over Rogelio Plomeda.

One Championships 68 takes place on Friday, January 26 from the Mall Of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines with Kairat Akhmetov and Geje Eustaquio headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on OneFC.com.
