The end of November and the beginning of December are going to be busy times for MMA fans because the Invicta Fighting Championship promotion may be running an event on November 30, the day before the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale.

This is according to a report by MMA Fighting.

Rose Namajunas eyes flyweight glory

Invicta FC promoter Shannon Knapp has applied for a license with the Nevada Athletic Commission to run an event at the Park Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Park Theater is the same location where the TUF 26 Finale is going to be held the following day.

A title bout has already ben announced for the proposed card as Jennifer Maia is going to be defending the flyweight title against Agnieszka Niedzwiedz.

Nothing is official as of yet as far as the event is concerned, as the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) will decide this coming Tuesday (10/10) as to grant the promotion the license for the event.

If the event is approved, then it is going to be quite the big week for MMA fans. That’s because in a seven day span from 11/25 to 12/2, there is going to be a total of four UFC/Invicta FC events to watch.

Those events would be UFC Fight Night Shanghai (Anderson Silva vs. Kelvin Gastelum headlines), Invicta FC 26 (Jennifer Maia vs. Agnieszka Niedzwiedz headlines), UFC Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale (no headliners official as of yet) and UFC 218 (Max Holloway vs. Frankie Edgar headlines).
