The Cage Warriors bantamweight title is going to be defended at Cage Warriors 115 as Jack Cartwright puts the gold on the line against Gerardo Fanny.
Cage Warriors announced the bout today on their Twitter page.
Cartwright (8-0-0) is going to be making the second defense of his championship, previously defending it against Manuel Bilic at Cage Warriors 112. Cartwright won the title in a one night tournament at Cage Warriors Unplugged 2, defeating Marko Kovacevic in the finals. Cartwright has competed eight times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went past the opening round.
Fanny (9-1-0) is going to be making his Cage Warriors debut in this bout and is also competing for the first time in almost a year. Fanny’s lone defeat as a professional MMA fighter came at MTGB Rumble Event 21, where he was beaten by Daan Dujis. Fanny has competed ten times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance.
Cage Warriors 115 takes place on Friday, September 25 from the BEC Arena in Manchester, England with no main event announced at this time.
