The fight peaked at 827,000, which is an increase from Munguia’s first HBO appearance on May 12 when he won the WBO belt from Sadam Ali, which also headlined the live HBO telecast. The May 12 HBO main event averaged 711,000 viewers, representing a nine percent increase in viewership for Munguia's second HBO fight.

The co-main event of the July 21 HBO broadcast saw WBA "regular" super featherweight champion Alberto Machado retain his title with a unanimous decision over Rafael Mensah. Thanks to a first round knockdown, Machado won comfortably on all three judges scorecards. As far as viewership is concerned, the Machado vs. Mensah fight averaged 665,000 viewers, peaking at 762,000.

HBO's next boxing telecast is not too far from here as the network returns to Atlantic City, New Jersey with a world title doubleheader on August 4. In the main event, WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev defends his title against Eleider Alvarez while WBA champion Dmitry Bivol fights former title challenger Isaac Chilemba in the co-main event. Afterwards, HBO remains silent in boxing fights until September 8, which is the third "SuperFly" boxing card.
