Jaimelene Nievera Steps In At DWTNCS Episode 11


It didn’t take long for UFC officials to fight a replacement for the injured Silvana Juarez, as Jaimelene Nievera has agreed to step in on short notice to fight Antonina Shevchenko in the main event.

Shevchenko (5-0-0) is set to make her DWTNCS debut in this encounter and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over 16 years. Shevchenko once took a twelve year break from MMA competition, opting not to fight from July 2005 to September 2017. Shevchenko has seen four of her five professional MMA fights end by way of decision, while the other victory came by TKO.

Nievera (7-3-0) is making her DWTNCS debut in this encounter and does so with a winning streak that has lasted well over a year. Nievera has competed three times under the Bellator MMA banner, earning victories over Stephanie Frausto and Corina Herrera. Nievera has already competed once this month, defeating Bellator MMA veteran Katy Collins by decision at Legacy Fighting Alliance 42.

Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 11 takes place on Tuesday, June 26 from the UFC Gym in Las Vegas, Nevada with Antonina Shevchenko and Jaimelene Nievera headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
