A welterweight division attraction has been added to the UFC Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale as Jake Ellenberger takes on Jorge Masvidal.
Ellenberger has only won just two of his last seven fights under the UFC banner, with those two coming over Matt Brown and Josh Koscheck. Four of the five losses Ellenberger suffered all came to former UFC/Strikeforce champions or those who have challenged for the belt, with those four losses coming to former UFC Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler, former Strikeforce Welterweight Champion Tarec Saffiedine, as well as former title challenger Rory MacDonald and UFC 205 title challenger Stephen Thompson.
Masvidal was originally set to fight Kelvin Gastelum this November at UFC Fight Night 97, but Gastelum was moved to the UFC 205 card. Masvidal has only won just two of his last five in the UFC, with those over past UFC Ultimate Fighter champions Ross Pearson and Cezar Ferreira.
The will be the second UFC Ultimate Fighter Finale event that Masvidal has competed on and the third such event that Ellenberger has competed on.
UFC Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale will be take place on Saturday, December 3rd from the Palms Resort Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrious Johnson will defend his championship against the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 24 reality show.
