James Gallagher vs. Adam Borics Headlines Bellator 196

A main event first reported by ESPN has been set for the upcoming Bellator 196 card and it takes place in the featherweight division as James Gallagher faces Adam Borics.

Gallagher (7-0-0) has already earned a total of four victories under the Bellator MMA banner, last defeating Chinzo Machida at Bellator 180. Gallagher is headlining his first Bellator MMA card and the fighter has been with the promotion for nearly two years. Gallagher has only seen just one of his professional MMA bouts go the distance and that came against Mike Cutting at Bellator 158.

Borics (6-0-0) has competed just once in the Bellator MMA promotion, defeating Anthony Taylor by first round submission at Bellator 177. Borics is also returning to action for the first time in almost a year, as his last battle at Bellator 177 took place on April of 2017. Borics also competed in the Final Fight Championships promotion, winning two of the three fights there by way of decision.

Bellator 196 takes place on Friday, April 6 from the Budapest Sports Arena in Budapest, Hungary with James Gallagher and Adam Borics headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs via tape delay on the Paramount Network.
