A bantamweight division attraction has been booked for the fourth time as James Gallagher and Cal Ellenor are set to headline Bellator Europe 9.
The promotion announced the main event bout through Twitter.
Gallagher (10-1-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a three-fight winning streak with those wins coming over Steven Graham, Jeremiah Labiano and Roman Salazar. Gallagher has previously headlined two Bellator cards and he was victorious in both bouts. Gallagher has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Ricky Bandejas at Bellator 204.
Ellenor (8-2-0) is undefeated thus far under the Bellator MMA banner, having defeated Nathan Greyson by first round submission at Bellator MMA Europe 1. Ellenor has previously challenged for the EFC Worldwide Bantamweight Title, losing to Luthando Biko at EFC Worldwide 75. Ellenor has competed a total of ten times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those encounters went the distance.
A bout between Charlie Ward and Andy Mazolo is the only other bout revealed for the card at this time.
Bellator Europe 9 takes place on Saturday, October 3 from the Allianz Cloud in Milan, Italy with James Gallagher and Cal Ellenor headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on Youtube.
