“The whole division is calling me out – every single one of them,” Gallagher told MMA Junkie Radio. “Every single one. But he hasn’t even fought, so I can’t even say that he’s in my division. He hasn’t even fought in MMA in his life – not even in an amateur fight. Who is he? Like, what the (expletive)? How can you call out somebody who’s like 5-0 and on his way to a good career when you don’t even have any amateur fights. It doesn’t make sense to me.”

Gallagher is current undefeated as a professional MMA fighter, his record currently sits at 5-0-0. As for Pico, Gallagher is willing to fight him, but he wants the newcomer to get a few fights under his belt first.

“Go and have a fight and prove that you can fight,” Gallagher said. “He doesn’t even know if he likes it. He might walk out there, and he doesn’t even know if he likes it. He likes training, but it’s a whole different ballgame when you walk out in front of a few thousand people and someone’s running at you trying to knee you in the face. It’s different. You can do all the competitions and wrestling and boxing and muay Thai and whatever the (expletive) you want, but it’s not wrestling. It’s not boxing. It’s MMA.”

Bellator 173 takes place on Friday, February 24 from the SSE Arena Belfast in Belfast, Northern Ireland with Liam McGeary and Vladimir Filipovic headlining.
