Jamie Foxx is one of the most sought after actors in the world right now, but he may have a future in MMA after he got into an altercation with a rowdy individual a little over a week ago.
TMZ Sports is reporting that Foxx and some friends were hanging out at an establishment known as “Catch” in the Los Angeles area when the following altercation took place, according to a witness interviewed by TMZ Sports:
Jamie and some friends were in the patio area at Catch restaurant when a guy came up and complained the group was too loud. One witness says the guy mouthed off, "You don't want to mess with me. I'm from New York." A comedian who was at Jamie's table fired back, "F*** you I'm from Oakland."
The story varies from here about how Foxx and the man came in contact with each other, but the consensus is that Foxx wound up taking the assailant down and then subdued him using a form of a rear naked choke.
Foxx is an avid MMA fan, having appeared cageside at past UFC events, plus he has shown his admiration for former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Liddell and former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm in past interviews.
