Jan Blachowicz Wants To Fist Jon Jones

Jan Blachowicz could be the next challenger for UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones, especially after knocking out Corey Anderson at UFC Fight Night Rio Rancho.

Jones recently responded to a tweet saying the champ was afraid of Blachowicz, which led to Blachowicz responding by saying that he wants to fist Jones:

Blachowicz’s native language isn’t English, but he still found the response to Jones to be a funny one in the end.

“This was on purpose, this is why I do this,” Blachowicz said on the Eurobash podcast (via Peter Carroll of MMA Fighting). “I know how to use my fist, but only to punch people. It’s not what they’re thinking, you know. I think it’s good that everyone spoke about this. Right now, it’s done a really good job. And Jon Jones started this conversation first, I just answered. It was a good reaction, no? I enjoyed it - it was funny. It was a funny reaction and it was a big reaction, but most importantly people are talking about this. My English, I’m still learning. I’m still learning how to use my words. People want to hear what I have to say in the correct way, so I think every time it’s going to be a little bit better.”

There has been no official announcement yet on who’ll face Jones next, but Blachowicz is the only one in the top four of the division to not fight Jones.
