“I believe I’m the next contender for the title shot, and I don’t want a different fight,” Blachowicz told MMA Junkie. “Only title shot. I will wait. I have a lot of things to do, so I will not be boring, I can wait. … I do this all my life, and I wait for this so long. I am ready. I proved that I deserve the title shot, and I will do this, and I will take the belt to Poland.”

Jones himself competed a week earlier in the main event of UFC 247, scoring a unanimous decision win over Dominick Reyes.

Blachowicz not only wants to win the UFC Light Heavyweight Title, but he also wants to knockout Jones.

“I will (knock him out),” Blachowicz said. “I promise.”

The UFC Light Heavyweight Champion was in attendance at UFC Fight Night Rio Rancho and did have some post-fight interaction with the victorious Blachowicz.
