Janay Harding Calls Herself An Idiot When It Comes To Jiu-Jitsu

MMA

Janay Harding was last seen in action on the preliminary card of Bellator 219, scoring a unanimous decision win over Marina Mokhnatkina.

There was a moment during the fight that Mokhnatkina caught Harding in a knee bar and Harding nearly tapped out, which is one of the reasons why Harding considers herself an idiot when it comes to the jiu-jitsu aspect of MMA.

“If you’ve watched any of my past fights, I guess I’d say I’m a bit of an idiot when it comes to jiu-jitsu,” Harding said after the event (via MMA Junkie). “I’m not going to tap, just go until it breaks. Which is a pro and a con, I guess. I can really push until the last minute to make sure I can get out of that sub. … Unless that thing is going to start breaking, I’m not tapping.”

Even though Harding has competed nine times as a professional MMA fighter, none of those nine bouts have been ended by way of submission. However, five of those bouts ended by way of KO/TKO and the remaining four fights ended by way of submission.
