Jason Knight Steps In At UFC 214

Jason Knight is stepping in on short notice to fight Ricardo Lamas at UFC 214, the fighter is replacing an injured Chan Sung Jung at the event.

Lamas (17-5-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last five UFC fights, with his last bout being a victory over Charles Oliveira at UFC Fight Night 98. Lamas has previously challenged for the UFC Featherweight Title, losing to current champion Jose Aldo at UFC 169. Lamas is also returning to a UFC pay-per-view event for the first time in over a year, as his last pay-per-view appearance was at UFC 199 in June 2016.

Knight (17-2-0) has won four of five fights under the UFC banner, with those four victories coming over Jim Alers, Dan Hooker, Alex Caceres and Chas Skelly. Knight hasn’t suffered a defeat in just about two years, with his last defeat coming to Tatsuya Kawajiri at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale in December 2015. Knight is also a former Atlas Fights Featherweight Champion, defeating Michael Roberts to win the gold in November 2014.
