Jason Sosa vs. Robinson Castellanos Official For November 25 HBO Card

The November 25 HBO boxing card from Madison Square Garden just added a quality junior lightweight fight on the undercard.

Former junior lightweight world champion Jason Sosa and former title challenger Robinson Castellanos will fight on that HBO card as the co-main event. According to ESPN's Dan Rafael, the winner of the Sosa vs. Castellanos fight will get the chance to fight again on HBO for a world title, either against the winner of the October 21 HBO main event between WBA champion Jezreel Corrales and Alberto Machado or the winner of the December HBO fight between WBC champion Miguel Berchelt and former world titleholder Orlando Salido.

Sosa has not fought since losing to Vasyl Lomachenko in a WBO junior lightweight title fight in April on HBO. Sosa, who has a 20-2-1 record, is also a former WBA junior lightweight champion.

Castellano is also coming off a title fight loss. Castellano lost to Corrales, the current WBA champion at junior lightweight via 10th round technical decision.

The main event for the November 25 MSG card is Sergey Kovalev's return to the ring since losing twice to Andre Ward on HBO pay-per-view. Kovalev is fighting Vyacheslav Shabranskyy in a 10-round light heavyweight bout. Both Castellano and Sosa are ranked in the top 10 in Fightful's official rankings for the junior lightweight division. The card will be the first of three straight weekends where boxing will be held at Madison Square Garden, with Miguel Cotto vs. Sadam Ali happening on December 2 and Lomachenko vs. Guillermo Rigondeaux taking place on December 9.
