A featherweight division encounter will headline UFC On Fox 28, per the Orlando Sentinel, as #4 Josh Emmett is in action against #8 Jeremy Stephens.
Emmett (13-1-0) is coming off what is arguably the biggest win of his professional MMA career, defeating Ricardo Lamas by knockout at UFC On Fox 26. Emmett has only suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Desmond Green at UFC 210. Emmett is also a former West Coast Fighting Championships Featherweight Champion, defeating Brandon Ricetti at WCFC 12 to win the gold.
Stephens (27-14-0) competed less than a week ago in the main event of UFC Fight Night St. Louis, defeating Dooho Choi by second round TKO. Stephens hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost a year, with that last loss coming to Renato Carneiro at UFC On Fox 24. Stephens is just 1-2-0 in UFC main event fights, with those main event bout losses coming to Joe Lauzon and Cub Swanson.
