Jim Miller Thinks CM Punk Doesn't Stand A Chance Against Mickey Gall

MMA

CM Punk made huge splashes in the MMA world when he announced he signed with UFC back in November 2014. The whole world was wondering if he can defeat anyone in the UFC, but some people already made up their minds about it.

During UFC 200 fight week, Jim Miller talked to MMA Fighting about CM Punk's upcoming MMA debut against Mickey Gall, who is also making his second UFC appearance in just his third professional fight as a mixed martial artist. Miller doesn't see Punk taking home the victory in his debut.

"It's definitely big," Miller said "It's Mickey's third pro fight. There's a lot of pressure. He handled that first fight fantastically. The pressure involved, coming in and having all this hype around him, he handled it great. There's going to be even more for this one. Even though I think his opponent is less dangerous ? he is taking a step down opponent wise ? you can't let the nerves get to you. Hopefully, he can keep everything in check. He's got a good head on his shoulders. I think he will. I don't think CM stands a chance."

Miller said that Gall doesn't need to be worried about Punk and should strive to be best fighter he can be. Miller said that fighting Punk, who is a former WWE Champion, will be good for him as he has "found the golden ticket."

"He just trains to get better," Miller said. "That's the approach I've always had as well. Just train to get better. Train to fight the best guy on the planet and when the guy that shows up doesn't meet those standards, you beat the crap out of him."

UFC 203 will take place at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio on September 10, 2016. The card will be headlined by Stipe Miocic defending his heavyweight title against Alistair Overeem.
