UFC veteran Jimmie Rivera is joining the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
Rivera's manager Malki Kawa revealed the news in an interview with The Schmo, saying the 32-year old bantamweight has signed with the bare-knuckle boxing league. He joins fellow former UFC veterans welterweight Mike Perry, and former UFC featherweight champion, Chad Mendes, as the latest additions to the promotion's roster.
"They're signing my guy Jimmie Rivera," Kawa said. "Nobody knows about that one, so hey I just broke something on The Schmo. Jimmie Rivera's going to be there."
Rivera is also a former Bellator, King of the Cage, Ring of Combat, and CFFC veteran but is most known for his near six-year run with the UFC. He went 7-4 in his eleven appearances inside of the Octagon and had notable victories over UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber, Thomas Almeida, John Dodson, Cody Stamann, and Pedro Munhoz. His last fight with the promotion was a rematch with Munhoz at UFC Vegas 20 in February where Rivera lost a unanimous decision.
