Joe Rogan Doesn’t Want To See An Immediate Rematch Between Khabib Nurmagomedov & Conor McGregor

MMA

UFC color commentator Joe Rogan was calling the action at UFC 229, where UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated Conor McGregor by fourth round submission.

While the post-fight brawl may warrant an immediate rematch in some folks eyes, it is something that Rogan doesn?t want to see happen.

?There?s all this talk about a Conor rematch, because financially that would be a fantastic fight,? Rogan said on The Joe Rogan Experience. ?Financially. But if you look at what happened, that was a dominant victory. There was one round where Conor did pretty good, the third round. Other than that, Khabib just sort of dominated him. I mean, he dropped him in the second, beat the f*cking shit out of him in the fourth. The third was a round where Conor did pretty good, because most of it was standing up.?

Nurmagomedov and McGregor are still awaiting punishment for the post-fight brawl at UFC 229, with those potential penalties being handed out by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).

If it were up to Rogan, a title bout would happen next between Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson.

?If they could talk people into a rematch, I get it,? Rogan said. ?But I don?t want to see that. I want to see Tony. I want to see Tony and Khabib.?

Ferguson and Nurmagomedov were supposed to meet several times already in the UFC, but the bouts never took place due to injuries or other health issues.
