The UFC recently announced that Valentina Shevchenko and Sijara Eubanks will battle for the vacant UFC Women’s Flyweight Title is in the main event of UFC 230.
Joe Rogan has been a part of the UFC since 1997 and even has has no clue to whom one half of the UFC 230 main event is.
“What?!” Rogan said on The Joe Rogan Experience MMA Show. “No offense but I don’t even know who Sijara Eubanks is and I’m the commentator for the UFC.”
Eubanks has only competed once thus far under the UFC banner, defeating Lauren Murphy by decision at UFC Fight Night Utica.
Rogan even seems quite shocked that the UFC would put Shevchenko versus Eubanks in the main event of such a prestigious show.
“Valentina against a girl who is 4-2 with one fight in the UFC, for the flyweight title,” Rogan said. “Nicco Montano, that stripped her because she didn’t make weight for one fight. What? Huh?”
UFC 230 takes place on Saturday, November 3 from Madison Square Garden in new York, New York with Valentina Shevchenko and Sijara Eubanks headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
