UFC color commentator Joe Rogan has been involved in combat sports in some fashion for many decades now, which includes being a fan of professional boxing.
Paulie Malignaggi is a retired boxer who has been speaking out against UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor for a while now and Rogan would like the former boxer to just “shut the f*ck up.”
“He should shut the f--k up because if he wanted to have a UFC fight he can go over there and get his brain kicked in,” said Rogan on The Joe Rogan Experience. “He’s out of his mind. Stop talking. You’re a boxer. You’re a very good boxer. Just shut your mouth. There’s literally a million people in the world that could grab you and strangle the life out of you and there’s not a god-damn thing you could do about it. Sorry dude. Don’t talk s--t. They will give you a wrestler and he will punch your f**king face into pulp and there’s not a god-damn thing you could do about it. Not a goddamn thing.”
The issues between Malignaggi and McGregor arose when McGregor’s camp released a photo of Malignaggi being dropped by McGregor during a sparring session.
Despite the UFC personalities issues with the retired boxer, there is one UFC fighter whom Rogan believes Malignaggi can defeat inside the Octagon.
“He’d probably f--k C.M. Punk up,” says Rogan.
While McGregor has crossed over from MMA to boxing, there is no word yet on or if Malignaggi would cross over into MMA.
