Adesanya had previously mentioned that he would move up to light heavyweight to fight Jones, but those plans could be in jeopardy as well because Jones recently vacated the UFC light heavyweight title to move up a weight class to heavyweight. While no plans have been announced yet for Jones? heavyweight division debut, Adesanya is expected to defend his title next against Jared Cannonier, assuming that Cannonier is victorious over Robert Whittaker at UFC 254.
