Best Fight Odds have released their opening betting lines for the title bout and the champion comes in as a massive favorite over the challenger. Jones is currently sitting as a -600 favorite for the UFC 235 main event, while Smith sits as a +400.
That would mean that a person would have to bet $600 on Jones just to get a $100 profit, while a bet of $100 on Smith would bring in a net gain of $400. It should be noted that the odds for the fight will fluctuate back and forth until the bell sounds to start the encounter.
There is still some doubt that the bout will actually be taking place, as the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) still has to grant Jones a license to fight in the state, otherwise the fight could either be canceled or shifted to another location.
