Jon Jones Shuns Israel Adesanya For Mentioning "A Man's Dead Mother Over The Internet"

Jon Jones fires the next shot in the seemingly endless war of words against Israel Adesanya.

Jones called out Adesanya on Monday, accusing him of ducking a potential super fight and shunning him for mentioning Jones' mother on social media.

"Fighter and coach [are] mentioning my name in interviews but refused [sic] to sign the dotted line," Jones tweeted on Monday. "Straight hoe shit. Mention a man's dead mother over the Internet but looking to fight Jared Cannonier."

Adesanya's head coach Eugene Bareman recently said Jones is a fight Adesanya genuinely wants; however, the UFC middleweight champion has remained consistent in his desire to first clean out the 185-pound division. Jones recently made a remark about Adesanya's father, leading to an arguably harsher retort from Adesanya about Jones' deceased mother.

Adesaya is expected to defend the middleweight title against Jared Cannonier, should the latter defeat Robert Whittaker on the main card of UFC 254.
