Jon Jones: Tom Aspinall Is Such An Asshole That I Don't Want To Do Business With Him

MMA

Jon Jones is set to defend his UFC Heavyweight Title against Stipe Miocic at UFC 309. Though Jones and Miocic are headlining, much of the talk leading into the event has been centered on Interim UFC Heavyweight Champion Ton Aspinall, and Jones not wanting to fight him.

Jones has said that fighting and beating Aspinall does nothing for his legacy and that the Interim UFC Heavyweight Title should not have been created in the first place.

Now, Jones doesn't want to "do business" with Aspinall because he's been an asshole. Jones said that if he had more respect, maybe they could have worked something out. "Fighting me gives him an opportunity to change his life forever. I don't even want to give him the opportunity. He played his cards wrong."

Jones has expressed interest in fighting reigning UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Alex Pereira after UFC 309.

For now, Jones is set to clash with Stipe, who hasn't fought since March 2021 and hasn't won since August 2020.
