Lee got involved in a bit of controversy after tapping out to Oliveira’s guillotine choke, as the fighter continued trying to grapple with Oliveira while disputing the fact that he clearly tapped out.
UFC fighter Jorge Masvidal didn’t appreciate what Lee attempted to do and he took Lee to task after the bout via Twitter:
You should be cut for this bitch move. Tap and try to continue? One of the lowest things you can do hoe ass bitch https://t.co/M67EFkfUlm— Jorge Masvidal UFC (@GamebredFighter) March 15, 2020
First bitch move: misss weight. Second bitch move: tap and try to continue. Disrespectful to the sport and that’s the lowest thing you can do https://t.co/tqCMerQzjV— Jorge Masvidal UFC (@GamebredFighter) March 15, 2020
There has been no response yet from Lee as to what Masvidal said about him, but the fighter has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner. Oliveira, on the other hand, has now won seven straight fights and five of those victories came by way of submission.
