Top Rank's latest boxing card on ESPN did not produce strong viewership numbers.
According to Showbuzz Daily, the February 10 Top Rank Boxing on ESPN broadcast averaged 655,000 viewers (233,000 viewers in the 18-49 demographic) and drew a 0.44 household rating. The main event was Jose Ramirez vs. Jose Zepeda for the WBC junior welterweight title.
Breaking down the ratings, the telecast had a 0.18 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which ended up being 39th on cable that day. The 18-49 male demographic rating was 0.29 while females 18-49 drew a 0.08 rating.
Ramirez and Zepeda fought in a thrilling, competitive fight that saw Ramirez retain the WBC 140-pound title by majority decision. In the co-main event, former lightweight world champion Rayundo Beltran scored a ninth-round knockout win over Hiroki Okada.
The February 10 card's viewership and ratings were down from the February 2 Top Rank on ESPN card from Frisco, Texas. The February 2 ESPN-televised card had two world title fights and averaged 880,000 viewers (327,000 in the 18-49 demographic) and drew a 0.57 household rating.
The next Top Rank on ESPN card will take place in Hinckley, Minnesota on February 15. The main event of that card is Rob Brant vs. Khasan Baysangurov for the WBA "Regular" middleweight title.
