The main event is set for the forthcoming Bellator 202 card as Julia Budd defends the women?s featherweight title against Talita Nogueira.
Budd (11-2-0) is going to be making the second defense of her title, last defending it against Arlene Blencowe at Bellator 189. Budd become the promotions first female featherweight champion at Bellator 174, defeating Marloes Coenen by fourth round TKO. Budd has only suffered two defeats as a professional MMA fighter, with those losses coming to former UFC Women?s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey and current UFC Women?s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes.
Nogueira (7-0-0) has earned just a single victory thus far in Bellator MMA competition, defeating Amanda Bell by first round submission at Bellator 182. Nogueira has yet to see any of her professional MMA bouts go the distance and none have even gone past the second round. Nogueira has yet to compete in the same promotion more than once, but that will change when she fights at Bellator 202.
In the co-main event of the event, former Bellator MMA Bantamweight Champion Eduardo Dantas (20-5-0) is going to be taking on UFC veteran Michael McDonald (18-4-0).
