It would appear that UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal are going to be colliding later this year at UFC 252, which is part of UFC International Fight Week.

Usman, who could be a few months away from facing Masvidal, feels that there are a lot of other fighters who should be ranked ahead of the #3 Masvidal.

The fighter, in an interview with Aaron Bronsteter of TSN, named those he believes should be ranked ahead of Masvidal.

“I think it is myself (at the top), absolutely,” Usman said (via Chris Taylor of BJPenn.com). “Then I think it is Colby (Covington). Then you’ve got guys like Leon Edwards and Tyron Woodley. Those guys are there in that close race. Then you know there are killers that are coming up too that I would even put up there. Then you have the guys like Masvidal who win some lose some and are just there. Colby Covington, Tyron Woodley, Leon Edwards, Geoff Neal, Vicente Luque, Abdul Rasak Alhassan and Santiago Ponzinibbio.”

Outside of Covington and Woodley, everybody else named by Usman is ranked behind Masvidal in the UFC Welterweight Division Ranking, plus Neal, Alhassan and Ponzinibbio aren’t event ranked at all in the top 15 of the UFC Welterweight Division.
