Kayla Harrison has signed with the UFC, and she will make her debut at UFC 300.
Dana White announced that UFC has signed Kayla Harrison, and she will face Holly Holm at UFC 300 on April 13. Harrison is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, as she won the gold in 2012 and 2016. Harrison also won gold at the 2011 and 2015 Pan African Games. Harrison has been inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame. She has been competing in MMA since 2018.
Harrison, a former training partner of Ronda Rousey, had been with the Professional Fighters League, and she won the PFL Women's Lightweight Championship twice. She had been on hiatus for over a year until her scheduled fight against Julia Budd at PFL 10. Budd was replaced by Aspen Ladd, and Harrison scored the win via unanimous decision.
Holm is a former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. She famously defeated Ronda Rousey in 2015. Holm is also a decorated boxer, and she has been inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
