MMA

UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and former two division champion Conor McGregor will battle for the title this Saturday Night in the main event of UFC 229.

During the first press conference for UFC 229, a comment made by McGregor about the estranged son of Ali Abdelaziz, who is Nurmagomedov’s manager, caused quite a ruckus. McGregor would also refer to Abdelaziz as a snitch and a terrorist as well.

Abdelaziz got so heated that he was booted from the press conference before it came to a conclusion.

Nurmagomedov claims that Abdelaziz wants to get revenge on McGregor and possibly choke out the Irishman.

“I’m not politic, you know. I’m professional athlete,” Khabib said on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show. “If he have problem with my manager, he can talk with him. He can fight with my manager, my manager 100 percent going to choke him – he’s a black belt from Renzo Gracie.”

Although Abdelaziz is a Renzo Gracie black belt, one thing the amanger doesn't have is any fighting experience outside of the gym.

UFC 229 takes place on Saturday, October 6 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
