Khabib Nurmagomedov Says Conor McGregor Goes Silent When Fight Negotiations Take Place

MMA

UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has been clamoring for a fight against former two division champion Conor McGregor for quite some time now.

If Nurmagomedov is going to be believed, it would seem like the trash talking McGregor goes silent whenever fight negotiations take place.

”I do not yet know who my opponent will be,” Nurmagomedov told Sports24.ru. “The fight will likely take place in Las Vegas. I want to fight McGregor; the fans are also waiting for this fight. I hope that Conor wants this fight. He talked a lot but for some reason, as soon as it came down to real negotiations about the fight, he fell silent.”

McGregor has tried getting at Nurmagomedov before, attacking a bus that the UFC Lightweight Champion was in prior to UFC 223.

Nurmagomedov does promise to destroy McGregor is a fight between the two ever comes to fruition.

“In what round will I be able to knock McGregor out? I do not know, and no one can know this. I’m going to destroy him,” says Nurmagomedov.

Dana White recently stated that Nurmagomedov vs. McGregor was the fight to make, but no date has been specified by the UFC President or anybody from either fighters team.
