Khabib Nurmagomedov wants in the title picture as well and he would like to face the winner of tha UFC 216 main event.
“I know (Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee) talk (expletive) about everybody, but I don’t want this,” Nurmagomedov said to MMA Junkie. “I know this: Both guys are great athletes, good fighters. I’m going to say good luck, don’t get injured, and see you in December. Good luck, guys.”
Nurmagomedov and Ferguson were scheduled to meet multiple times over the years, but injuries to both fighters kept them from their Octagon battle, as well as Ramadan and hospitalizations.
