Bellator MMA is heading to Ireland for the first time ever this Friday Night with King Mo and Satoshi Ishii headlining the historic card, a joint card with the BAMMA promotion.

Mo, who has previously suffered a defeat to Bellator MMA Light Heavyweight Champion Phil Davis (who wasn’t a champion in their first meeting), believes a win over Ishii will get him another opportunity at Davis and the gold.

“If I look impressive, which I think I will, then I think that does help the argument to getting the rematch,” Lawal said on MMA Junkie Radio. “Even though, let’s be real, there shouldn’t be a rematch because I beat him the first time. Let’s be real. He should be rematching me because I beat him the first time.”

Mo hasn’t been too busy in 2016, when you consider that he fought a total of 5 times in 2015, but he expects that to change in the coming year.

“I’m pretty sure next year will be busy,” Lawal said. “I’m hoping so. I think it will. Things happen. I was supposed to fight in August, but that fell through. Then I was going to fight in early September and that fell through.”

Bellator 169 takes place on Friday, December 16 from the 3 Arena in Dublin, Ireland with King Mo and Satoshi Ishii headlining.
