Late Addition To The UFC 211 Card

A light heavyweight division attraction is a late addition to the upcoming UFC 211 card as Joachim Christensen is taking on Gadzhimurad Antigulov.

Christensen (14-4-0) has won just one of two fights under the UFC banner, defeating Bojan Mihajlovic and suffering a defeat to Luis Henrique Da Silva. Christensen will also be making his UFC pay-per-view card debut, as his previous two fights in the UFC came in “Fight Night” events. Christensen also competed once in the M-1 Challenge promotion, where he was defeated by Maxim Grishin via unanimous decision.

Antigulov (19-4-0) is currently undefeated thus far in UFC competition, having defeated Marcos Rogerio De Lima by submission at UFC Fight Night 100. Antigulov also won the Absolute Championships Berkut Light Heavyweight Grand Prix in 2014, defeating Ruslan Khaskhanov in the finals. Antigulov has only seen one of his professional MMA fights go the distance and that was a win over Hracho Darpinyan at ACB 11 Volume 2 in November of 2011.

UFC 211 takes place on Saturday, May 13 from the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas with Stipe MIocic and Junior Dos Santos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
