Despite still not getting his shot at the UFC welterweight title, Leon Edwards is still trying to wait it out until he does get that shot and has now publicly shrugged off a fight against Jorge Masvidal — this and much more on Thursday's social media roundup.
Leon Edwards shrugs off potential fight against Jorge Masvidal
Despite being on one of the longest win streaks in the UFC and coming off a win over one of the UFC's biggest stars Nate Diaz, Leon Edwards is still waiting for his shot at the UFC welterweight title.
Instead of giving Edwards a shot to fight Kamaru Usman for the welterweight title, the UFC went for the option to run back the rematch between Usman and Colby Covington for the title instead.
This has understandably left Edwards angry and once again leaves him in a strange situation in the welterweight division.
Even though it seems like Edwards will not be getting a shot at the title anytime soon, he is still adament to wait his turn and will not fight anyone else other than who the champion of the division is.
Edwards has now publicly shut down talk of a fight against his big rival Jorge Masvidal.
